About

Eric grew up immersed in the golf course industry. His father was a superintendent and was also involved in the construction of Victoria National. Eric worked as an irrigation tech for a Boulder based company as a subcontractor before going out on his own.

Eric Crosby was raised in the foothills of Western North Carolina, where he developed a passion for outdoor pursuits. He attended the National Outdoor Leadership School in lieu of his last semester of high school. This program introduced a new world to him, instilling a deep appreciation for outdoor education and stewardship of our natural environments.

With a newfound purpose to spread the light that was shown to him, Eric started attending the Colorado Mountain College’s Outdoor Recreation & Leadership program in Leadville, CO, in 2008.

After college, He went on to be a staff trainer for a YMCA program, BOLD & GOLD (Boys and Girls outdoor leadership development) Mountain school. He spent five years at this program whose mission statement is “To create emotionally intelligent, multicultural diverse leaders through experiential outdoor pursuits.”

He then went on to work for the Colorado Outward Bound School for 4 years. This program also focuses on harnessing the potential of youth through backpacking, mountaineering, skiing, and rock climbing courses.

In 2015, Eric and some fellow CMC graduates participated in a fundraising event for Paradox sports based in Boulder, Colorado. Paradox brings awareness and facilitates outdoor experiences for people with physical limitations.

Eric has since left his former career to pursue new goals and challenges, calling Boulder his home since 2018.
